We invited Olga, a young woman expert in local history and traditions, to school. She told us about two rites linked to Nature and to the month of May in particular. In the past, on our hills, men took the trunk of a pine from a wood and hoisted it in the square of the village, adorning it with flowers and ribbons. The girls, on the other hand, went from house to house singing a song in the Piedmontese dialect. They also made an object consisting of boxwood branches, ribbons and a doll as a symbol of good luck.Together with Olga, we sang in our outdoor classroom, with the background of the sounds of Nature.
