This week, Reception have been looking at the story of ‘Leaf Man’. We have thought about what Leaf Man would see if was flying above Newcastle and Gateshead. We have used street view on google maps to walk around the city. Miss Wilson stopped at some local landmarks and we tried to name them! We soon discovered that we had visited some of the landmarks with our families! In groups we have worked on our observational drawing skills. We have each created a line drawing of a famous local landmark concentrating on the shapes that we could see in the images.

We have used the leaves that we painted and cut earlier in the week to make our own leaf man. We added our own Leaf Man flying above our Newcastle and Gateshead landmarks.
