In outdoor learning, we have continued our work exploring birds. We have thought about what we think birds like to eat and how we can look after the birds over winter. We started by exploring a birds nest. We looked to see what the bird has used to make the nest and have thought about what bird could have made it! We know that it was actually a blackbird! We are very lucky that one of the Year 2 parents lets us use some of his special bird feeders and seeds. We looked at the feeders and thought about what should go in each of them.

We then had a chance to make our own bird balls using fir cones, fat and seeds. We can’t wait to hang up our bird balls and see all of the beautiful birds in our garden.
